COLUMBUS, Ohio – The OhioHealth Grandview Yard Quarter Marathon & 5K will debut on Aug. 28 when the running and walking event showcases the new Grandview Yard district.
The event, which will feature up to 2,000 runners and walkers will start and finish at Ray E. DeGraw Park in Grandview Yard and take runners and walkers on a tour of Grandview Yard, Grandview Heights and downtown Columbus.“We are thrilled to partner with Grandview Yard, the City of Grandview Heights and OhioHealth to create a unique Quarter Marathon and 5K in one of the hottest districts in Columbus,” said David Babner, race director for M3S Sports. “The Quarter Marathon has proved to be one of our most popular events and the 3.1-mile distance is the perfect entry points for those new to running and walking events.”
The Grandview Yard Quarter Marathon & 5K will feature the Quarter Marathon (6.55 miles) and the 5K (3.1 miles). Both events will begin at 7 a.m., with the Grandview Yard Post-Race Party set for afterwards in DeGraw Park.
The Diamond Cellar VIP Experience is available for an additional fee. VIP Experience members receive an Official VIP Jacket, VIP Packet Pick Up and entry to the Diamond Cellar VIP Tent on Race Day. The tent features catering from Cameron Mitchell Premier Events, celebration cocktails and more.
Grandview Yard is a new urban neighborhood in Grandview Heights that features businesses, restaurants, shopping and luxury urban living, Grandview Yard is located just minutes from the shopping and dining on Grandview Avenue, entertainment in downtown Columbus and the Arena District, and evet at The Ohio State University.
