Peloton Instructor and Ohio State Alum Ash Pryor to Cheer On Runners at the 2026 Cap City Half Marathon
COLUMBUS, Ohio — The OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon is excited to welcome back Ash Pryor for race day 2026, where she will be on-course cheering on participants as they make their final stretch to the Finish Line.
A Peloton instructor, Ohio State University alum and Big Ten Champion with the Ohio State Women’s Rowing team, Pryor brings an energetic and motivational presence to everything she does. She inspires people of all shapes, sizes and backgrounds and is an advocate for fitness, inclusivity and celebrating movement. Through her work as a Peloton Row instructor and motivational speaker, Pryor encourages others to build confidence and discover the joy of movement.
Her connection to Cap City is especially meaningful. The event marked her first half marathon, making her return to race weekend a full-circle moment.
In addition to her on-course appearance, Pryor will be part of Black Girls RUN! race weekend festivities as a member of Team Black Girls RUN! She will also serve as a special guest at the pre-race party, connecting with participants and helping kick off race weekend with energy and inspiration.
“We’re excited to welcome Ash back to Cap City,” said Race Director David Babner. “Knowing that this race played a role in her own running journey makes it even more special to have her out on course supporting our participants. Her energy will be a huge boost as runners head toward the finish.”
Pryor will be stationed along the course, encouraging runners and walkers as they take on the final miles of their race. Her presence, along with her involvement in race weekend celebrations, reflects the supportive, community-driven atmosphere that defines Cap City and helps participants push through to the Finish Line.
The OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon continues to be one of the Midwest’s premier running events, drawing thousands to downtown Columbus each spring for a celebration of fitness, accomplishment and community.
