Inaugural OhioHealth Grandview Yard Quarter Marathon & 5K A Tremendous Success


Thousands of runners and walkers took a tour of the new Grandview Yard entertainment district and downtown Columbus during the inaugural OhioHealth Grandview Yard Quarter Marathon & 5K. 

The Grandview Yard Quarter Marathon & 5K started and finished at Ray E. DeGraw Park in Grandview Yard. The 6.55-mile Quarter Marathon course featured a tour of Grandview Yard, Franklinton, the Scioto Greenway and the Arena District.

Afterward, participants celebrated at the Grandview Yard Post-Race Party and Diamond Cellar VIP Experience.

“Grandview Yard is one of our city’s newest and most exciting entertainment and residential districts and we are proud to showcase the area during the Grandview Yard Quarter Marathon & 5K,” Race Director David Babner said. “We are excited to return in 2023 when we plan to expand the event with the addition of a Half Marathon.”

Ryan Moncrief of Dublin, Ohio was the top overall finisher in the Quarter Marathon at 34:01, while Tricia Hengehold of Columbus was the top female in 39:30. In the 5K, Dustin Whitaker broke the tape in 16:34 while Mackenzie Best was the fastest female in 18:42.

The OhioHealth Grandview Yard Quarter Marathon & 5K is a partnership between M3S Sports, Nationwide Realty Investors and the City of Grandview Heights.
