Crooked Shillelagh Celebrates Its Biggest Year Yet

HILLIARD, OH – The 4th annual Crooked Shillelagh wrapped up this weekend as the largest event in its history, continuing a trend of growth and community participation since its inception. The event, which celebrates St. Patrick’s Day, brought together runners, walkers, friends and families for a festive and inclusive experience.

This year introduced the 2-mile Half Shillelagh, which was well received by runners and walkers. Participants enjoyed premium event hoodies, finisher medals, complimentary beer from Crooked Can Brewing Company, a slice of Jet’s Pizza, and a post-race party to celebrate their achievements.

“The Crooked Shillelagh is all about fun, community and celebrating St. Patrick’s Day together,” said David Babner, Race Director. “We’re thrilled to see the event grow each year and to provide an experience that everyone, from competitive runners to first-time participants, can enjoy.”

Beyond celebrating the healthy, active lifestyle and St. Patrick's Day, the event proudly supported the Hilliard Food Pantry, strengthening the local community through charitable impact alongside the festivities.

As the Crooked Shillelagh continues to grow, we look forward to welcoming even more participants and celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with the Hilliard community in the years ahead.
