January 6, 2025
2025 kicked off in style with the OhioHealth First on the First 5K, bringing together the running and walking community for a celebratory start to the New Year.
Over 1,500 participants joined this celebration of the healthy, active lifestyle with the Start and Finish taking place at Otterbein University’s Clements Center.
Participants on all ages and fitness levels joined with the male winner, Jonathan Allen, finishing at 15:43 and the female winner, Ava Elliot, finishing at 18:52.
After finishing the race, participants were treated to a post-race taco party by Yabo’s Tacos and a community celebration to kick off the start of 2025.
This event kicked off the 2025 M3S Sports Race Season and the Road to the OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon where more than 10,000 participants will celebrate the healthy, active lifestyle on Saturday, April 26 in downtown Columbus. M3S Sports has more than 12 events on the calendar this year including Cap City, the Ohio State 4 Miler, 5th Line 5K in partnership with the Columbus Blue Jackets, the OhioHealth Grandview Yard Half Marathon and more as we continue to promote and celebrate the healthy, active lifestyle in Columbus.
Thank you to all of the participants, Race Crew, sponsors and Otterbein University for supporting the OhioHealth First on the First 5K. Events like this remind us of the power of community and the joy of setting positive intentions for the year ahead. Here’s to many more miles in 2025—we’ll see you at the next starting line!
