COLUMBUS, OH – The 17th Annual Oktoberfest Meiler Vier, a four-mile run/walk that kicks off the award-winning Columbus Oktoberfest, once again brought the community together for one of the most festive races in the city.
This year’s event was a sold-out celebration, highlighting the strength of a partnership that has spanned nearly two decades. For 17 years, the Oktoberfest Meiler Vier has united fitness and the spirit of Oktoberfest.
The Meiler Vier delivers more than just miles on the pavement, participants enjoy a festive course atmosphere and the ultimate Oktoberfest post-race celebrations. Every participant receives an Oktoberfest-themed shirt and medal and a post-race complimentary Schmidt’s sausage and Hofbrahaus beer.
“The Oktoberfest Meiler Vier is all about tradition and fun,” said Race Director, David Babner. “This partnership with Columbus Oktoberfest has been going strong for 17 years, and it’s incredible to see the running community and festival community come together in such a big way. It’s the perfect way to kick off Oktoberfest weekend.”
The Columbus Oktoberfest, recognized as one of the nation’s best Oktoberfests, provides the perfect atmosphere for the race. With this year’s event reaching capacity well in advance, the Meiler Vier continues to prove itself as one of Columbus’ most anticipated and distinctive running traditions.
