M3S Sports kicked off the New Year with the annual OhioHealth First On The First 5K on Jan. 1 in Westerville, Ohio.
Nearly 1,500 runners and walkers got the new year off on the right foot with a 3.1-mile tour of the city of Westerville, then were treated after to the world-famous pork and chicken tacos, beans and rice provided by Yabo’s Tacos.
Zach Kreft, a Notre Dame cross country runner who won two state championships at Buckeye Valley, was the overall winner in 14:26. Melinda Endsley of Delaware was the top female in 18:26.
This year’s OhioHealth First On The First had a new location as the event was held at the Clements Center on the campus of Otterbein University. Sponsors included OhioHealth, Ortho Foot and Ankle, Fleet Feet + FrontRunner, Yabo’s Taco’s, Giant Eagle and Marathon.
