Run Wild at the Zoo and Zoombezi Bay!
Join us for a new event in partnership with the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium on July 7, 2024! The inaugural Run Wild 5K presented by OhioHealth is a run / walk that will take participants around the zoo before a splashing finish in the Zoombezi Bay Wild Tides wave pool.
The 2024 Run Wild 5K will be held at 8 a.m. on Sunday, July 7. All participants will receive same day admission to Zoombezi Bay and the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium.
The Run Wild 5K presented by OhioHealth is a 5K run / walk celebrating wildlife conservation and making a difference to species survival around the country.
Registration opens on Tuesday, April 23.
Your participation supports projects like the new North American Center for Bison Conservation, and the new Ohio Center for Wildlife Conservation (OCWC) in the redeveloped North America Trek. The OCWC facility will spotlight extraordinary local conservation initiatives for species like hellbenders, plains garter snakes, burying beetles, and mussels.

Spectator registration will be available for $25 per person. All event attendees must have either a Participant or Spectator ticket. You will receive an email closer to race day with instructions on how to purchase Spectator tickets. Spectator tickets are limited to 2 per runner and will be available on a first come, first served basis.
Important information
All runners and spectators must abide by Zoombezi Bay policies, and will be required to go through Zoo and Zoombezi Bay security screening. All bags will be checked before entering Zoo or Zoombezi Bay grounds. Any bags with prohibited items will be held at Security Screening until owner returns for pick up. Prohibited items, including alcohol, may be confiscated or destroyed. Zoombezi Bay Policies.

Packet Pick Up
Fleet Feet Sports Lewis Center will host Packet Pick Up for the Run Wild 5K Run / Walk in 2024. Packet Pick Up will be held Friday, July 5 and Saturday, July 6 during regular business hours at Fleet Feet Sports Lewis Center, 1270 E. Powell Road, Lewis Center, Ohio 43221.
- Friday, July 5 (11 a.m.–7 p.m.)
- Saturday, July 6 (10 a.m.–8 p.m.)
Please pick up your packet, including your event shirt and race bib, at Fleet Feet Sports Lewis Center if you register before race day. A friend or family member may pick up your packet for you. Race Day Packet Pick Up begins at 6 a.m. on July 7 at the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium.
Please note: M3S Sports has a NO REFUND and NO BIB TRANSFER policy for all events. Strollers are allowed (please start in the back). Any participant over the age of 3 needs to be registered.
